I have a few minutes at work to do some more digging, and I've found George and Dora's marriage license! The name on the license looks like Musgrove, but it seems like too much of a coincidence for George to have married a MusgrOve and Clarence to have married a MusgrAve, don't you think? I'll email the document to you, I'm still searching. Here is the "printer-friendly" version. It doesn't give any significant information in the form of witnesses or anything, that I know of... Missouri Marriage Records, 1805-2002 Missouri Marriage Records, 1805-2002 Name: George Heck Age: 21 Birth Date: abt 1865 Marriage Date: 15 Feb 1886 Marriage Location: Sullivan, Missouri Marriage County: Sullivan Spouse Name: Dora Musepore Spouse Age: 18 Spouse Birth Date: abt 1868 While it gives their ages as 21 and 18, those ages are pre-printed on the form, so they mean nothing. The only things handwritten are names and the date of marriage, essentially. John H. Heck, (Clarence's father, and assuming George's father too) died in 1896 and is buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin City, Douglas Co., KS. His wife Julia A. (Heberling) Heck is also buried there, having died in 1905, according to www.findagrave.com. There are no gravestone pictures, unfortunately, for any of these graves. I find this family intriguing, and there is always the possibility of a connection to my Daniel David Heck, so I will keep looking, and I will email that marriage license to you straight away.
