Her name pronounced in French was “Katrina Hebert de A'Bere” and Katrina was born in the Berry (Bere) province of France. It claimed she is descended from Jean de France, Duke de Berry & Joanna de Armagnac. The French spelling of the name “Berry” is “Bere” and is a place name taken from Berry-Bere, France. She was a descendant of the French Huguenot nobility dating back to the year 1572. She married Johannes (John) Burkhart who was born 1710 in Basel, Switzerland and died 1756 in Elizabeth Twp., Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania.I am interested, if possible, in obtaining data on her ancestry back to the French nobility of the Counts and Dukes of "De Berry".
