Who were the parents of Otis Carl HEIBERT born 7 Sept 1916 Port Arthur, TX ?
Looking for information on Mrs. Loretta Thomas who may have been the mother ( biological or foster ) of Otis Carl HEIBERT. From military & work records Otis was born 7 Sept. 1916 in Port Arthur, Jefferson co. TX. He supposedly finished High school in Houston, TX. He enlisted in the army about 1933. At this time he gives Mrs. Loretta THOMAS as his mother and the person to notify in case of emergency. Loretta's address was listed as 3207 Leeland Ave. Houston.
Otis enlisted again in 1942 and again Loretta Thomas was listed as his mother and she lived at 615 Sabine St. Houston. From oral history Loretta THOMAS may have died ca 1958. Death certificate for Otis HEIBERT gives his parents as Loretta Thompson & R.J. HEIBERT. This info was given by an unreliable source. I have been unable to find any documented info on the parents of Otis HEIBERT. Any help greatly appreciated.
