Looking for a marriage between a LaRose (possibly Hebert
dit Larose)born Paris, France and (?) LaMagraux/LaMagroux? writing is illegible
in an old genealogy chart. Looks Like His first name
may have been Francis or Francois, and he later married
a CORBIN or Corbeil(also Illegible) The daughter of the
this couple has us stumped. Her name is alternately
Marie or Mary( sometimes called Mary Rose, Mary LaRose
b.Jan of 1820 or 1821...sometimes listed as born Quebec
but on one census says she was born in Clinton co.,NY.
In 1838 She married Thomas Matteson/Madison in VT. Their
first child is born in Grand Isle co. VT. They then move
to Onondaga co.,NY and have two more children. Thomas dies
in 1843...and Mary married John Ward Jr. the same year. Her
last Madison child being born after the father's death and
her remarriage. They proceed to have several WARD children
one of whom I am directly descended from. Mary died in
Oswego co. NY in July of 1885. Both of her Madison sons
died in the Civil War. Each of her children at some point
in time list her maiden name as Corbin, Cordon, Corbine
and LaRose. We are at a loss . Does this info show up
