Stanley Hebden was my father, Edna (nee Bibby ) my mother and they did run a shop in Barton where I and my brother Peter grew up. We have no knowledge of my fathers history and no memory of any paternal contacts. Am equally curious to find out more! He was in the Air Force in the second world war and was based at Grantham, Lincolnshire. I Think he may have been a hairdresser before the war. The only reference to a W Hebden was seeing that name inscribed on a set of engineers feeler gauges. Please get in touch if there is any further info ! There seems to be a lot more detail available on the Edna Bibby side of the family going back to the early 1800's.
