Hi Jenny. No, you are not alone. I have a LARGE Hebden ancestry record, but no Johns married to an Anne Dixon. My info comes mainly from a researcher in Coventry, England. Mary Jane Hebden, b. 1815, emigrated to New Zealand 1840, married George White Bennett, he drowned, she became first and only woman lighthouse keeper in NZ. She was dau. of William, Squire of Dacre Banks, Yorkshire, and Mary. May be linked to yours, seeing links to York.
