Dear John,
I was intrigued to see your message. My mother's maiden name was Heavey.
Heavey is a very uncommon surname.
I currently live in Wales although my mother and six of her siblings live in Ireland.
My great-grandfather and and great uncle John emigrated from Co.Mayo to America in about 1912/1913. I understand my great uncle settled in Chicago.
If you are still planning to visit Ireland I could contact my mother or other family member on your behalf.
