There is a rumor that my 4th gr Grandfather,Christopher Heavener, parents died when he was an infant, and he and his siblings were taken in by a Schwenkfelder family, however the Schwenkfelder genealogy doesn't keep records of orphans or fondlings.
The time frame would be ABT 1753 - 1759.?

Our Heavener/Heavner name was anglisized from the German occupational name Häfner (Haefner)which means Potter. The word "Hafe", "Haven" is in the the Southern German dialect like Suabian and Bavarian .
still widely used for Pot and a Hafner is someone who makes these things.
Pronunciation of Häfner,Haefner, sounds like Hevner, Heavner, Heavener to the English ear, depending on the ear of course.

Variations: Haffner, Hefner, Hafner.
I would be very interested in your Heavener, Schwenkfelder information.
Thanx.
