yes i knew of this family we will start with joseph c heaton. first in 1880 census he was 49 years of age he had cherokee blood may not have been full but he was almost. he was born in the year 1831 in n.c. but moved to pickens s.c. he was a farmer for the most part and a very good one. elizabeth heaton born in n.c. was a sister to joseph c heaton. she was born in the year 1825. i don't know much about his family at this point. i just know that what you have is true. you have the list of this family mary his wife age 46 at the time 1880 and she was born 1834. is the year mary was born. i know nothing about these children i'am sure that all that you have about their age's is right seems that is true i'am not going to name since you have already named them. i don't know that isaac O'Sields is on this list i know a little about isaac o'shields. i have been to his grave along with bruce o'shields about 1 year before bruce died. i was at the o'shields reunion at mt. carmel baptist church. pam i think that isaac o'shields was born 1845. but pam you have done a great job on this.
