just for the record my. carmel baptist church has two william o'shields listed. it seems that they both are william p. o'shields and william paschal o'shields. census missprinted this they had william p. being married to elizabeth heaton in 1880 he had died. if you will go to mt. carmel baptist church they have records. the same way with a 1860 census he was living in spartanburg s.c. and also pickens s.c. at the same time. how could this be/ this was easy pickens and spartanburg are not all that for apart. it would not take much to be in spartanburg and pickens s.c. on the same day. i do this all the time. it's nothing for me to go to spartanburg from greenville s.c. there are quiet a few charles o'shields and some of them are about my age but does that make them me or does that make me them of course not. allmost the same but not the same. this is what took place with william paschal o'shields and this is why it is so hard too see but this is true.
