Hi Brittany:

Thank you for responding to my posting, but unfortunately, I do not have any info on your Heaton line.

My gr-gr-grandmother was Elizabeth Heaton who was married to William P. O'Shields. Elizabeth was last found in 1860, Easley, Pickens County SC.

I haven't been able to find any information what-so-ever on her. According to the only 2 census reports that she is found in, she was born in 1825. The death certificates of her children states that she was born in N.C. I do not know any family connections and have been unsuccesful in finding anyone who knows of her.

There are many Elizabeth Heatons, but none that I have found matches her profile. The only ones with her year or even close to her year of birth, can be found in Alabama at the same time that I show her in South Carolina.

I have a 1923 family reunion photo in which a Doc Heaton was in. I don't know his relation, but assume that he has a connection to her.

I have the family of a Joseph C. Heaton in S.C. that had a man named Isaac O'Shields living with them. If I could find someone who knows this family, I may be able to make a connection.

I wish I could help you, but at this time, I can't. I'm sorry. I hope that you have better luck with your Heaton's than I have had.

Sincerely,
Pam
