Hello. Can anyone help me?
My gr-gr-grandmother was Elizabeth (Betsy) Heaton, b: abt. 1825, m: William P O'Shields. They lived in S.C. I can only find them in 1860 as a family and Elizabeth in 1880, widowed. I've been told that she was full blooded Cherokee and was born in NC. I have a 1923 O'Shields family reunion picture that shows Doc Heaton, father of Julie. He was sitting next to Milas, son of Elizabeth. Does anyone know Doc? Please help.
