Hello John,

Rather than post everything again, please refer to my posting to Mildred Reynolds, which I made today (11 Feb 2004) Re: * Heathers of Hampshire *; message #96.

We strongly believe our [David] HEATER surname has connections to Chichester and surrounding villages. I was in contact with a Charlie HEATER, who lives in Ash near Aldershot, but his e-mail address is no longer valid, so I don't know if he made any headway in connecting our names. He too strongly believed there was a connection. Charlie did find a second cousin to him, but one mile away in Ash [via HEATER surname board].

Our surnames are often mistaken for HEATHER. If you read my message to Mildred, you will see what I mean.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Cheers ... Toni ... Ontario Canada
(for a short time we lived in Gosport by the way; then it was on to Devonport!)
