Lucille,
I am delighted to see your posting (I've not looked at this forum for a while) because it is more than likely your Charles Harold was my uncle (I think he was always called Harold by the family). My father was Major Gilbert Stanley Heathcote, OBE, LVO (1884-1969), the youngest of the five children, and while I know a fair amount about my grandfather Charles Henry H, the well known architect, I know very little about my father's siblings. All I know about Charles Harold is that he was born in 1876 (the eldest child) and had two sons, Timothy and Alexander. I do recall hearing, probably from my father, that Harold had been in Dublin during the Irish uprising. Harold was married to Josephine, who I met many years ago when she was a widow, but I never met my uncle. It is a very strange coincidence but I was just looking at some old undated Christmas cards from 'Uncle Harold and Aunt Josephine' recently given to me by my brother and it was these that motivated me to have another online search for relatives.
Although I can't shed much more light on Harold I would very much like to make further contact with you, with the hope of finding out more of my father's family.
