Israel Mills HEATH b. 25 Dec 1888 Orcutt, CA d. 4 May 1966 in Palermo, Butte Co. CA m. 15 Mar 1915 Laura Agnes COLEMAN b.22 Jan 1887 Chicago, Cook Co.IL d. 27 Dec 1965 Butte Co. CA.(she says both her parents were born in England). Her parents are believed to be William Thompson Coleman b. 12 Aug 1841 in Great Addington, Thrapston, Northampton, England and Ellen Charlotte Morris b. 29 July 1850 Coppingsbridge, Isle of Wight, England. Her father William Thompson Coleman died 16 Oct 1892 in Chicago, Cook Co. IL and is buried Forest Home Cemetery, Chicago. In 1920 they are living with 2 children in Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co. CA and Israel M. Heath says he is employed as a driller for an oil field. In 1956 ‘Mills’ Heath lived in Bellflower, CA. His obituary in the Oroville Mercury-Register read:
Funeral Services for Israel Mills Heath, 77, Palermo, will be held tomorrow at 2 pm in Scheer Memorial Chapel. Mr. Heath, a retired oil driller died yesterday in a local hospital. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Harris of Downey; two brothers Tom Heath and Bill Heath both of Oroville; a sister Mrs. Elberta Balsley of Yankee Hill; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Gene Van Note, pastor of the Oroville Church of the Nazarene. Cremation will follow in Chico. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
