She states her father was born in OH, her mother NY . In 1917 he was 30 and single, farming in Ursula, Santa Barbara Co. CA. His draft registration for WWI says he was tall, stout with brown hair and brown eyes. In the 1920 census he is still single and now farming in Kern Co CA. He married Dorothy about 1922. In the 1930 census they are living in Compton, Los Angeles Co. CA where he is working as a driller on the oil fields. His obituary read: Rites Tomorrow for Robert Heath: Services will be held at Sanford Funeral Home at 10 am tomorrow for Robert Hamilton Heath, 70, who died Dec 9 in a local hospital. He lived at Route 3, Box 3707 and was a pipefitter. A native of California, Heath is survived by his widow Dorothy; four daughters, Mrs. Helen McGhaney, Oroville; Mrs. L.G. Smith, Fresno; Mrs. R.G. Jobe of Pasadena, TX; and Mrs. J. Perez of Stockton; two sisters, Mrs. Elberta Balsley, Oroville; and Mrs. Georgia Minnehan , Carmichael; three brothers Thomas Heath, of Biggs, William B. Heath of Bellflower, Mills Heath of Bellflower and 12 grandchildren. Cremation will be at Sierra View in Marysville, CA.
