I'm doing our family tree and am searching for Heslep's from the Arkansas area in the late 1800's up to now, also in the Mississippi area early 1800's through the Civil War. Some of the Heslep's have scattered to Texas and Washington in the 1900's.
David Doyle Heslep b. 1822 in Alabama or Mississippi. Died early 1900's in Arkansas.
He was a Capt. in the Civil War for the 46th Miss. Co. D.
I've been gathering some info on him, but now am trying to find out who his parents were and where they came from.
Any Hesleps, Heslips,Heslops, or other variation of the name out there let me know.
