Allison, thank you for contacting me. There could very well be a connection. One of my great uncles from Greenwood was named Joseph. In what part of the country are you located? I am aware that the Hearsts migrated to many parts and I plan to continue my research until I can find as many descendants of George and Melissa as I can.
