Hearst family and the Hearst Playground, connected.

I thought I heard through the grapevine that there is a park in Washington DC named the Hearst Playground. It is somewhat connected to the Hearst Elementary school. But I am trying find out it is connected also to the famous Hearst family in any way. If it is, does anyone know it's connection. Also does anyone know when the playground might have been dedicated a community playground. Any insight into this would be great to know.
