Hi there. This bunch was all from around Abbeville, SC. Since I posted my original message, I have found that James & Martha Hearst Cochran were not the parents I was looking for after all. Although, I would still love to have more information on their line. The parents I really needed were John M. & Martha Cooper Cochran. I think John was a cousin to the James in my original post.
John M. Cochran was the son of James Cochran (d. 1822 SC) and Martha Weed (d/o Reuben & Martha Messor Weed). John M. died 1817 in SC. After that, his widow and their two young sons, James Nesbitt & John Pressly (my gggg-grandfather) moved to TN, possibly Maury Co., then on to Holmes Co., MS. Martha Cooper's parents were (Dr.?) James Cooper and Margaret Morrow.
