HI. I have John S. Hern as son of Abner Hern.
Both appear in the same household on the 1850 Ark. census in Wilson Township in the 1880 census Abner is in the home of his son George W. (G.W.) Hern. Abner age 82, widowed, b.NC father b.MD mother b.NC.
Abner appears also on the 1830 Tennessee Census in Overton County as well.
