Dear Bill:
Hi, Thank You for writing.Yes, I believe that we have corresponded before regarding our Welliver family ancestors.
It is very interesting that you have Daniel Ebner and Elizabeth Welliver's daughter who married Samuel Augustus Aikins of Mercer County, Illinois.
Since I corresponded with you I have found out that my Welliver Family also resided in Mercer County, Illinois.
I have found them buried in Mount Vernon Cemetery, North Henderson, Mercer, Illinois.I contacted a wonderful volunteer from Headstone Hunters and have pictures of their headstones if you are interested in seeing them.
My Line with the Welliver's go:
Jacob WelliverBorn:August 17, 1817 Died: May 1, 1891
his wife:
Hannah B. "Holmes-maiden name" Welliver
Born:April 15, 1823Died: March 4, 1893
Their children were:
1. John W. Welliver Born: Abt. 1850 Place: Ohio
2. Maraget E. Welliver
Born: April 14, 1852 Place: Ohio Died: Dec. 11, 1882
3. Olive WelliverBorn: Abt. 1854 Place: Ohio
Olive married: Andrew Jr. Weber 6-30-1878-Mercer Co.
4. James Buchanan Welliver: (My Great Grandfather)
Born: 1856 Place:Illinois Died: ?
Married: Annie Olson July 28, 1880 Aledo, Mercer Co.
5. Jacob M. Welliver
Born: 1860 Place: Illinois
There were more Welliver's in this area, I believe that they are all family connected. Some believe that they all came from Columbia, PA. area.
My Healy's
Gertrude Hoffbauer married Thomas James Healy who she met while visiting her Aunt Emma Mounts who lived in Bozeman, Montana.Gertrude and Thomas Healy married May 18, 1891.
I have a copy of the marriage license.
One of the witnesses of their marriage was Tessie Healy.I believe her real name would be Theresa.
What I know of my Great Grandfather Thomas James Healy is that his Father's name was Thomas Healy, he immigrated from Ireland, year unknown.
His Mother's name was Hanora "Joy-maiden name" Healy.
On the marriage license, Thomas James Healy states that he is from Waddington, St. Lawerence County, New York.I have a copy of my Grandmother's death certificate, his daughter, and someone stated on it that he was from "Potsdam" New York.
I have sent away for his death certificate, he died in Chicago, Illinois Feb. 13, 1933.The state of Illinois a few month back started offering copies for free to the public and I am still waiting for it to arrive.I ordered it in July of this year. They are most likely overwhelmed with requests so I justhave to be patient but perhaps will give me more leads when it arrives.
My Great Grandparents, Thomas & Gertrude Healy did live in Billings, Montana. Before they moved there they lived in Chestnut, Montana. In Billings, Montana they ran two boarding houses.I believe they left that area about 1915.Moved to St. Paul, MN.
I do not know how to connect the names of those you sent to me but how odd that you have Welliver's who also have a Healy connection? Both in the same areas??I have printed out your information and I thank you again so much.
Sincerely,Kathy Price
