I am trying to trace any possable birth relatives, or get any information on my late grandfather William Healy or of his wife's Cristina Creedon.
William was killed in France on the 14th October 1915 and is buried in Noeux-Les-Mines cemetery.
I am assuming that William was born in the Cork area around 1886 but i can not be sure, it may have been in some other part of Ireland or England.
His Fathers name was Daniel Healy, who had died some time before 1911, i have nothing else on Daniel.
Cristina's family lived in Fitzgibbons Square, Blackpool and her fathers name was John Creedon. Christina's mother may have died before 1900 and John may have remarried a Nora Murphy in 1901. The 1911 census shows two children of this marriage, a daughter named Anne born around 1904 and a son named Henry born March 1911.
William married Cristina Creedon on the 8th July 1911 at St Marys Cathedral, Cork City, and after their marriage they lived in Gerald Griffin Ave, both addresses where in the Blackpool area of Cork City. The Witnesses to the marriage were Joseph Kelly and Ellen Dineen.
William and Cristina had a son John (my father) born 13th July 1913.
Any help or information would be most appreciated.
