John HEALD/Dorothy ROYLE/Dorothy Andross

Raising this subject again. Was Dorothy Royle or Dorothy Andross the wife of John Heald (freeman Concord 1641)?

Which source do you believe? One argument is that Dorothy Royle is really the name of the ship they came on - the "Dorothy Royal". If that is true, it shouldn't be that hard to find a reference to the "Dorothy Royal" somewhere.

You can find at

literally hundreds of ships that sailed to the American Plantations and Colonies. The Dorothy, Dorothea, and Dorothy and Elizabeth are listed, but no Dorothy Royal. And none of these is shown to have sailed in the 1635 timeframe.

So why believe Dorothy Royle is really the name of the ship? Seems harder to lose track of a ship than a person.

Who cares to weigh in again with their SOURCES?
