Marlene,

I checked the SSDI, and found no obvious match for either Robert b c1921 or Eugene b c1927. They or possible sons may still be around, but where?

Unfortunately, it's likely that a yDNA test on them would match your Thomas-John-William result, but you never know.

Have you or Jim G loaded your FTDNA result to www.ysearch.org? They have testing results from different companies, not just FTDNA. Might find something else to go on.

For those still reading this, there is now a Heald y-DNA project at

http://www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/h/heald/index.html

If you don't know where/how your Heald line connects, this might be an approach if you are a male Heald or have a father, brother, cousin, etc who is a Heald.

Larry
