I have not heard of this name in our family, but we are from Clinton, Massachusetts. Maybe we have some connection. My great grandfather was Thomas Heagney and he was a shoe salesman in Clinton.He was married to Margaret Hallinan of Calicoon, NY and they had at least six children - William (my grandfather), Margaret, Ellen, John, Jim and I think an Edward. My grandfather died in 1955 and I think he was about 70 at the time. Hope this helps.
