I am responding to your message regarding the African American Headen Family of Alabama. My grandmother was Juila Headen from Tallega Alabama, the birth place of my father, Stanley Scott born in 1901. Julia was married to Junior Headen, I have little info on him other than he served in the Spanish American War. Juniors parents, my great grandparents where Emma and Henry Headen born around 1860. There may have been a Afria Headean in the family, I can't tell who that is from the slave records of the time. I would love to get in touch with some of my family. My father often spoke of Tallega and I visited my aunt Sally there as a Child. I would love to talk with any of my cousins and learn more about the family. I do have some pictures to share of my great grandmother Emma Headen and my Aunt Mary Headen.
