From my sources there were at least 60 Headen's in Talladega Co AL in or a little before your timeframe that might be cousins.

Amos Headen shows up in 1900 census as being born May 1840 and with him is spouse Louisa. They were living in Mardisville, Talladega AL in 1900.

Andrew was born 1851 ALA and his parents were born SC
Spouse Ellen was born TX
In 1900 they had a child named Bessie.

Jake Headen was born May 1853 ALA and his parents born ALA. His wife was named Margret and in 1900 they had children named Thomas, Charles, Francis and Mamie.

In 1880 census of Mardisville, Talladega I found 51yr old Frederick Headen and wife Francis. With them were children named Sam, Jenny, Netta, Rose, Doc and Lula.

Hope this leads to a major find for you.
