I am trying to locate information on Peter and Caroline Headen and their child(ren) James Headen. Peter and Caroline Headen are my great great great grandparents. Peter was born in 1816 in Talladega County Alabama and Caroline was born in 1825 or 26 in Talladega County Alabama Their son,James, is my great great grandfather he was born in 1845 in Talladega County Alabama. This family makes their first appearance on the 1866 Alabama State Census for Talledega County--Colored. In their household is another young male between the age of 10 to 20. I believe this is James' brother. My great grandmother talked about having contact with first cousins that I believe may be this person's children. If anyone has any information on this family or individuals within this family, please post.
