Bev,

It seems in some other genealogy that I saw (all from memory) that one of the Headens from this family married a Murdock. Are you familiar with this name? I remember one Headen daughters married a Turner and another a Murdock, and from Jackson County, GA they moved to LA. It seems that the Robertsons, Headens, Beavers, House, other related families left GA when land became available after the Louisiana Purchase, and moved to LA to get land. It seems that one of the Headen daughters was married to a Murdock and she returned to GA after moving to LA.

Also, I was able to get a copy of Succession Papers on William Headen, Jr. and Susannah Robertson Headen, where they name their children, spouses, where they live and it seems most of their grandchildren. The Succession Papers were filed in St. Tammany Parish Court, and I was able to get a copy several years ago.

I was wondering about the Headen/Murdock connection.

Betty Robertson
