Jean, Sorry that I can not help you with the lineage of your Thomas S. Headen, but I do have at least 2 letters, penned by Thomas and wife Margaret "Peggy" (Moore) Headen, to her Brother Ashley Moore, and her parents, Samuel and Elizabeth Berry Moore, all of Marshall Co., TN. They were written in 1837 and 1838, and are both in response to money Peggy was to receive from her parent's estate. Peggy's mother, died in 1838, but her father lived until 1853. It looks like brother Ashley bought out all the heirs, and paid them off in advance.
