Hello,
My great-grandmother was CLara Lee Head (27 Jan 1884-25 Aug 1961) and was born in Greenville, Mississippi. She married James Montgomery Maury, Jr.
Her parents were John Champion Head (b. 1 May 1846-d. ?)
and Mary Eileen Buckner.
Her grandparents were Richard Columbus head, Sr. (21 Jul 1810-1886) and Clarrisa E. Champion.
Great-great-grandparents: James Lloyd Head, Sr. (1762-1848) and Margaret Roberts.
#rd great-grandparents: William Head, Sr. (1735-1808) and Mary Williams.
They were in the Oglethorpe, Ga. area for awhile. I was hoping these Heads are the same Head family as yours.
