Here are some early records of the HEAD name in Newfoundland___ A John Head is mentioned in Benjamin Lester's Diary on the French occupation of Trinity Harbour, ( Newfoundland ) before the invasion: Thursday July 1 1762: " Wind at S.W.fine gale but no news of the French--- Everyone in confusion, noe boats at sea, Eight of my servants ran away with JOHN HEAD"S boat--- Thomas Head lived at Ferryland, Newfoundland 1795 to 1806 William Head married Catherine Knight ,Congregational Church - St. John's - Jan 02, 1806 Henry Head was a Planter at Fogo , Newfoundland in1808 and 1816 A Dautr born to THOS & ANN HEAD of Greens Pond, Newfoundland pub’y named SOPHIA.
