Joyce, Here is some information I found on Richard Head. Is it what you have?

Descendants of Richard Head

Generation No. 1

1. RICHARD4 HEAD (RICHARD3, WILLIAM2, WILLIAM HEAD [DE1 HEAD]) was born November 02, 1755. He married MARY HALL/HALE. She was born 1766.

Notes for RICHARD HEAD:
I as well as others have done extensive work on this family. Here is what I have gathered: Richard E. Head bn 11-2-1755--wife: Mary Hall/Hale bn ca 1766; ch.: William bn ca 1783, Wake Co., NC; Temperance bn ca 1784, Washington Co., GA; Mary Head bn ca 1785, Washington or Wilkes/Oglethorpe Co., GA; Edmond bn ca 1787, Wilkes/Oglethorpe Co., GA; Richard bn ca 1790, Wilkes Co., GA; Elizabeth bn 4-29-1794, Wilkes Co., GA; James A. bn 6-25-1797, Oglethorpe Co., GA. James A. is my ancestor. There is a book out on Elizabeth Head. I have several documents as deeds placing these Head in NC back to ca 1700. One source states that a James Alfred Head's parents fell out of favor with the ruler of Wales and sent he and his brother to the new world quite young.I have a census record that states that they came from Wales. I was told that two brothers came to America. There is a James Head, who came around 1638, and then again two years later. Richard, Mary and other family members came to AL settling in Pike, now Barbour Co., AL. There are Land Grants to these people at this time in AL; Rd Head got a Land Grant in Washington Co., GA; Let me know what you have, it might be different than what I have, and I'll share with you what I have. James A. Head bn. 1797 came to TX Corine
Corine you are wonderful. Please contact me through my E-mail directly or continue to buse the forum if you wish. I need to get your address or give you mine so I can get copies of the census material and land grant information you have. Will be glad to pay for copying. Also please let me know here I can find the historical details about this line of the Heads- Do you know how to get a copy of the book on Elizabeth Head. Elizabeth is my paternal greatgreatgreat great grandmother. I have 92 year old father who knew nothing of his ancestry until May 1999 and he is so excited as are me and some other my father's first cousins. Look forward to hearing from you. We live in North Carolina , South Carolina and near Savannah Georgia so we can take pictures if anything is left.
I too am related through the information that Corine has shared with you. I am the ggranddaughter of Edmond Henderson Head, who was the grandson son of Richard Edmond Head. I don't have tons yet, I would more than be thrilled to get your information to share with my family. I have some pictures of Edmond and his brother.
