I am seeking info on John W. Bates that married Ladusfa Champion daughter of Abner Champion and Frances Pound.Does anyone know who his parents were? His mother is reported as being Edna, but no other info is available for him.Johns second wife was named Sarah Jane Dorsett

John had a son James Thomas Bates that married the niece of Ladusfa Champion Bates, her name was Dalton Champion and Daltons father was Willis Champion( Ladusfa's brother), mother was Elizabeth Jane Head.(also seeking info on the parents of Elizabeth Jane Head, was she a daughter of Benjamin Head and Catherine Morgan? and sister to Sarah Anne Catherine Head?) James Thomas Bates second wife was named Molly Kenny.
Frances Pound was the daughter of Merriman Pound and Clarissa Herndon.
Clarissa Herndon was the daughter of George Herndon and Frances Merriman.
George Herndon was the son of William Herndon and Sarah Poe.
William Herndon was the son of James and Mary George Herndon.
James Herndon was the son of William Herndon and Catherine Diggs.
Catherine Diggs was the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth Paige Diggs.
Edward was the son of Sir Dudley Diggs and Lady Mary Kempe(Kent) and here the line goes back into the royal families of Europe.
I am decended from Herndon,Head, and my husband from Bates.
