The Eliza J. Hazlet listed there is possibly my great great Grandmother. She was born in 1837 possibly in Texas, but I never found any proof of that. Her Mother's name is Elizabeth Duty born in Tennessee. Her father's name was Samuel Hazlet born in Pennsylvania. I never could make the connection on how they got there until I found your post. Eliza goes on to have two marriages. One to James L. Smith from Louisiana and another to a Ratliff. I am descended from one of the Ratliff daughters.
