James Sterling Hayward was my grandfather. I would appreciate any information you have on the history of Jackson Hayward. I was always told the story of his having a family that was "lost" during the Civil war and that he married my great grandmother afterwards. I have noticed that someone has posted about having information from a grandson of Jackson Hayward. My father was John Sterling Hayward. He was the last living grandson of Jackson's second family and he died in April 2007. My Uncle, Dink Jackson Hayward died several years ago. Is the other grandson from the first familY?
