There was a marriage in to the Samuel & Patience (Allen) Cole family of Pomfret, Windham Co., CT on Dec 15, 1788 between Charles Hayward and Rebeccah Cole. (Source is Barbour Collection of Connecticut Vital Records). Is this the same Charles Hayward who was born in Roxbury, Suffolk Co., MA on Jan 2, 1766?
Am trying to trace the ancestors of Samuel Cole and his wife, Patience who were also married in Pomfret, but on Feb 14, 1728. Did they too come from the Roxbury area?
