HAYTER Wiltshire & Hampshire, England

There were a number of Hayters (possibly three) who emigrated to Newfoundland, Canada around 1800-1830 and settled in various places along the northeast coast (Trinity, Twillingate). I am researching the ones who came to Trinity (John Hayter, my original ancestor in Newfoundland) and possibly a Charles Hayter in Twillingate. The area around Trinity has a strong Dorset area connection. Twillingate seems to be largely connected to Devon (my ancestors from there are Rogers) although there is also a Dorset connection. Have you come across anything??
