I am not investigating this family. I was going through a roll of microfilm yesterday of Lancaster Co, PA, deeds, Book 1-A, and my attention was caught by a series of deeds which I figure are either very interesting to someone or just "old hat". The surname seems to have been spelled with or without a final -s. Anyone interested may want to follow up. I am leaving town for a month and will be unable to assist at present. It would probably be easier to go through Lanmcaster Co, PA, itself for copies.
James Buchannan of Rockbridge Co, VA, was acquiring rights to the estate of one Hugh Hays of Lancaster Co, PA, from heirs in PA, VA, and NC. Also of Hugh's daughter Margaret who was deceased.
