E.L. HAY(E)S, b. ca. 1809

Am looking for information on an E. L. Hay(e)s b. ca. 1809 in North Carolina.

Have found him in 1850 Cherokee County, Alabama census. Listed with wife Elvina b. ca. 1818 in North Carolina. Children Richard, Lorley, Mary J., Susan, Lucinda A., Levi M., William L., James P., and Cynthia A. All children born in Georgia. Info according to census.

William L(awson) Hay(e)s, (b. 4/19/1845, d. 9/11/1923 Crockett Co., TN), served in Civil War. I have a copy of his Civil War pension papers where he stated he was born in Cass County, Georgia, and moved to Alabama with his parents as a child. After war, he migrated to Haywood County/Crockett County, Tennessee area where he married, raised a family and died.

Am looking for any information on the other children of E.L. and Elvina Hay(e)s. Also looking for info on E.L. Hay(e)s and his wife, Elvina. I keep putting the "e" in brackets because the census has the name spelled Hayes, but later records on William L. has name spelled without the "e".

Anyone have any information on this family? Will be more than willing to share what I have on William Lawson Hays and his descendants.

Thanks.
