John W. Hays/Hayes b. abt. 1812-1820 in TN mar.
Mary Williams from VA,
They were married on Nov. 16, 1840 in Lawrence County, TN.
The 1850 census shows John Sr. to be 33 years old and Mary 22 years old.
Their children were;
William J.
Elihue Marion (my G-G_Grandfather)
James J.
John W.
Sarah E.
Angrew J.
Doctor F.
John W. Sr. and family lived around Lawrenceburg from their marriage until 1890 when John Sr. & Elihue & family moved to AR. I believe the older son of John & Mary (William J.) stayed in TN. Sarah moved to the west side of AR. Andrew J. and Doctor F. settled at first in Pope County AR with their father and Elihue's family. Mary died in TN.
