First let me say that I do not know anything about Nicholas Hays as far as where he was from. Now, I do know for a fact that Zilly Crabtree never lived in Jefferson Co, TN.To my knowledge my Nicholas and Zilly (Crabtree) Hays never lived in Arkansas.
What are the dates for your Rachel Hays?
I have proof that the Nicholas and Zilly (Crabtree) Hays who lived in Travis Co, TX are the daughter and son-in-law of William Crabtree of Franklin Co, TN.In the Franklin Co, TN Deed Book Y, page 53 dated 20 Feb 1858 is where "Nicholas Hays and Zilla Hays, his wife, formerly Zilla Crabtree daughter of William Crabtree citizens of Travis Co, TX" sell Zilla's part of the estate of William Crabtree.
Nicholas and Zilly Hays are on the 1830 Franklin Co, TN census. They are on the 1840 Polk Co, MO census and on the 1850 Travis Co, TX census. On the 1830 census there were 3 daughters under 5 years of age.On the 1840 census one of these daughters is no longer living at home.Whether she died or married very young I do not know.By 1850 another of the daughters who was born before 1830 is no longer living at home.I do not know who either of these daughters were.
I would think you would want to look for a will or estate settlement of Nicholas and/or Zilly Hays to see if it lists their children.
Until you find proof that Rachel was the daughter of Nicholas and Zilly Hays, you cannot go around claiming this.Or, perhaps you have proof but just did not include it in your message.I will say it seems likely that Rachel was their daughter but until there is proof I would not state it as fact.
Also, you need to determine why "your records" show that Zilly Crabtree ever lived in Jefferson Co, TN and correct that.I do not know if Nicholas Hays lived there or not since I do not know anything about the Hays family.
