I am Sandra (Haynes)Seiler and my sister is Georgette (Haynes)Cameron. We are researching our Haynes family tree with the help of some family members (Steve Coats). So far we have found the following information and would like to know if anyone has anything on Moody P Hains(Haynes)from the war of 1812.
Mine and my sisters father-Wayne Elwood 1933-2001, his brother Edward E. (lives in Morrisville, Mo), their father-Wayne Bethel 1909-1969 m. Myrtle Poynor, sister of W.B. Goldie (m. Skalasky)1895, sister Elsie (Osie?) 1900, brother Luther Preston 1903-1982 (Steve Coats g.father), brother William Paul 1907-1987, sister Ethel. Their father--Moody Preston 1867-1912 (m. Willie Olive Farris), his brother Samuel E 1863-1924, their half sister Katy Chrisitie 1873-1953. Their father--Dr. Moody Preston Haynes 1838-1875 (m. Mierva (Lizzie)Jane McDonald), his sister Masuri(orMepoune)1829, sister Harriet 1840. His father Moody P Hains fought in the War of 1812 and married Susanah Caplinger (Kepplinger, Kopplinger)in 1819. I have seen were errors are made in transcribing the Haynes name, on the original hand written papers it is either Haynes or Hains. The transcribers are writing down Haijnes, Haijns, Hains, and I have even seen Harris. Please any info would be great. Georgett and I are going to the Haynes family reunion on 14 Aug from 1 to 5 at the Drury/Pear Tree Inn in Sikeston. If anyone is in the area come on over. We do have pictures, cassette recordings from William Paul Haynes, and Edward Haynes and Bill (William) Haynes will be there.
We do have a sight on ancestory.com and everyone is welcome.
Sandra and Georgette
