Dear Barb and Pat,
The Crum and Haymaker information in the Ohio River Valley Families database is, I'm afraid, generally not very accurate. In the case of the children of John Haymaker and Annie Crum, the list should read:
1. Elizabeth (Eliza) J., b. ca. 1825; m. Joseph Overman 7 Jul 1844
2. John Wesley b. 23 Sep 1828; m. 1st Amanda Buchanan 28 Apr 1852 (lic.), m. 2nd Nettie Sullivan ca. 1875
3. George W., b. 6 Jun 1831; m. L.E. Foster Henley 17 Mar 1856
4. Catherine A. ("Kitty", "Kate", "Katie") b. ca. 1834; m. AlexanderT. Ruddell 1 Sep 1851 (lic.)
5. Isaac Newton b. ca. 1836; m. Sallie C. Parker 27 May 1869
6. Mary Ellen b. ca. 1838; m. Alfred Paswater 18 Apr 1858; d. 4 Feb 1882.
7. Joseph Marion b. ca. 1844; m. Sallie E. Beggs 19 May 1874
8. Margaret A b. 1 Sep 1844; m. George B. Bower 22 Nov 1863; d. 29 Sep 1898
9. Amanda E. b. 11 Sep 1848 ; m. James H. Cortner 10 Dec 1865
Also, there is a lengthy biography of Joseph Marion Haymaker in: "Baird's History of Clark Co., Indiana," pp 809-810.
I have this biography copied into a Word file and could send it to you as an e-mail attachment. Let me know.
And, by the way, recent research has shown that Annie Crum was born in Clark Co., IN instead of Larue Co., KY as previously thought.
