GILBERT. I believe his parents were EARLY HAYES and ELIZABETH GILBERT of South Carolina. I have an obituary that states this but I'm still unsure. The informant looks like J.J. HUGGINS also from South Carolina. I do know E.G. Gilbert married Joanna Kersey of S.C., and they had a child named Maggie M. Gilbert.
