Hi Charles,
It looks like we are researching the same people, these are my husbands family. My husband's connection is CW Hayes>Theodore H. Hayes>Myrtle V. Hayes marriedd Rodney Clair Conklin.I have not found a source, (census, birth, christening, Marriage, death etc.) that puts Charles W. as Theodore H. Hayes father. I am following one lead on this and have to check a census record.Do you have something that does?I only have people saying it and no legal source.I am still trying to find the right Charles and wife.I have also been told that in TheodoreH. Hayesthe "H" stands for "Harding" and another source says it stands for "Horace".Again I have found nothing that would verify either. I have found Theodore Hayes in 1900 Census, Commissioner District No 3, Billings, North Dakota, Film #1,241,226, family # 72 with his family, Edith, Eveline, Mabelle, Myrtle and Ralph. Also the 1910 Census 136 R 101, Billings County, North Dakota, Stamped page # 291, Supervisor's District No. 2, Enumeration District No. 8, film #1,375,151. Then again in the 1920 Census, Unique 136-101, Slope Co., North Dakota, stamped page 291, film # 1,821,340.These film #'s are the ones used at a local Family History Center run by the L.D.S. church, they are the same numbers used at any FHC.Well this is some that I have done to verify. Please share whatevr you have.
