I was born in London England, 1940. I emigrated to Canada in 1956 and now live in Vancouver BC.

My mother was a Haydon from Mitcham Surrey. Her father was Rupert Turner Haydon who died in 1944 in Dulwich England, aged 64. He was a master plumber at the time. His father was Henry William Haydon, a professional builder who had an address of #1 Church Street Mitcham. I don’t know when he died but it was sometime before 1904. I have a Quantity Surveyor's estimate sheet bearing his credentials. The business was founded in 1778.

My maternal grandfather Rupert Turner Haydon was 25 years old when he married my maternal grandmother Florence Synden in November 1904. Both lived in England. Florence died aged 76 in 1950 in London England. I lived with both at the times of their death.

Rupert spent some of his early life in Nelson BC Canada, and returned to England where he married. I know he had a great interest in horses. I have some photographs of him in military uniform and on horseback that I could scan and attach to an email.

Am interested in anything you can share... scanned copies of photos, certificates like marriage, birth, death …

Cheers
