Samuel and Margaret VanMeter Haycraft

Samuel and Margaret VanMeter Haycraft were my 4th or 5th great grandparents. Their daughter Nancy, married John Vertrees II.

You all may actually be looking for the book Samuel Haycraft Jr.'s History of Elizabethtown. It was written in about 1897 or so. I sent my copy to Nancy Trice who was the US Gen Web coordinator for Hardin County, and it was to either be transcribed or put in the library there. It was my grandmother's book.
I have not yet started on the Haycraft line, and would be interested in getting information about Samuel Haycraft. I do know that he was one who came into Severns Valley with Jacob VanMeter Sr. and Capt. John Vertrees, and his brother. Actually the first community was Vertrees, which is about 12 miles from E-town.
