Helen HAY m. William INNES 1802 Forfar, Angus

Looking for more info on Helen HAY who married Wm INNES in Forfar, Angus, SCT. (REF IGI) Helen was born abt 1780 (death record); died 1842 in Dundee of asthma, age 62. Lived on Peter St., Dundee, sometimes listed w/son James, other times by herself.

They had at least two sons:

1.James Innes, b. 1803, Inveresk, Midlothian. Married Isobel(or Isobella) BRUCE. Lived in Dundee. He was a sawmaker/repairer. Had 11 children: Helen Hay, Ann Reid, James, Elizabeth Simson (or Simpson), William, Alexander Reid, Janet Reid, "Jean Haddin," Julianna, Mary (in order) from IGI; also unnamed child buried in the Howff, James Innes, saw repairer, father.

Daughter Jane Haddon INNES m. John POWRIE. Had several children, including my GG GM Julianna Innes POWRIE who came to the US (RI) and married George DAVIES.

2. William INNES, b. 1807, Sterling. No further information.

Am in contact w/one descendant, Gary F. of Dundee who is a descendant of James Innes who is also interested in this line.
